I just realized (thanks to fellow Substacker and friend/Mare, Keana, reposting my first entry ever) that this past November marks ONE WHOLE YEAR since I began this newsletter. I initially wanted to write once a month for a full 12 months, but sometimes you got two per month and other times you simply waited for me. I don’t always even know what’s going to come out of these entries. I don’t always feel confident in what I have to share. I don’t always have direction or the nicest way of saying the things swirling in my mind’s eye. I do have what young Roxanne scribbling away in solitude would have wanted - which is to say, I am so blessed to know anyone is reading at all and that the anyone reading is you.
As a token of my gratitude, today I’m announcing a brand new addition to this community: the FULL SEND subscriber chat.
This feature is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion. It is an ongoing dream of mine for all the awesome people in my life to meet one another in some form, so I hope that this space feels as accessible, safe, and loving as you all have done for me too.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app (messages are sent via the app, not email). Turn on push notifications so you don’t miss a chance to join conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. As of a few minutes ago, Substack announced the chat feature is finally available for Android (previously only for iOS) so I am seizing this moment.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
I’ve already started my first chat thread so come on over and say hello!
